Letters to my readers
December 1, 2020
Dear readers,
Now that you’ve survived the Thanksgiving weekend, I would like to tell you what I’m thankful for. I’m very grateful for your feedback and your respect. Also, I’m very thankful for the ones who voted for Joe and Kamala. I don’t know them personally, so I can not make promises for them, but I’m a very good judge of character and I see in them only good intentions.
Although good, or bad, intentions mean nothing if they are not put into practice, a good intention is always an awful great start.
I’m also thankful for those republicans who are learning, the hard way, that this is not about partisanship, this is about what is right and what is definitely wrong. From the moral standpoint to the practical and economic consequences of politics and policies that are not written in the best interest of our survival as a species, one that thrives in a humanitarian environment.
I’m especially thankful for the ones who realize now that the past four years have been nothing more than a very, very bad episode of Gossip Girl.
The pandemic is still rampant, so do not lower your guard. If you wear a mask, you are putting a good intention into practice, that of protecting yourself and helping us to spare the lives of the most vulnerable, leaving hospitals available for their care.
I wish you my best. Happy holidays!
